it's just one of those days.....
a birthday every 13 days?

WASHINGTON (AP) -- European astronomers have found the most Earth-like planet outside our solar system, and here's what it might be like to live there:
The "sun" wouldn't burn brightly. It would hang close, large and red in the sky, glowing faintly like a charcoal ember. And it probably would never set if you lived on the sunny side of the planet.
You could have a birthday party every 13 days because that's how fast this new planet circles its sun-like star. But watch the cake -- you'd weigh a whole lot more than you do on Earth. (Learn more about exoplanets)
You might be able to keep your current wardrobe. The temperature in this alien setting will likely be a lot like Earth's -- not too hot, not too cold.
And that "just right" temperature is one key reason astronomers think this planet could conceivably house life outside our solar system. It's also as close to Earth-sized as telescopes have ever spotted. Both elements make it the first potentially habitable planet besides Earth or Mars.

hotness
so i have always been a fan of the "T" thong. sexy, comfy and i must say Brandon loves! BUT i discovered the panties known as "hanky pankies" and i fell in love. i have seen them everywhere but thought they looked to big and grandma like. i was told to buy a pair and try them...let's just say WOW. can't wear them everyday but they are so flattering. Brandon loves them even more! i suggest all you ladies try them out....they are comfy, sexy and extremely flattering. think thong and boy shorts mixed.

Have you ever worked so much that you wondered why you pay bills to sleep somewhere else?

Have you ever worked so much that you wanted to move back in with your parents so you can quit?
Have you ever worked so much that during the five minute break you squeeze in, you blog about your awful job?

back to work...
Today brings a great opportunity to identify how you and your partner act out childhood relationships. Be aware. You don't want to be each other's parents, do you?
Some are born great while others have greatness thrust upon them. You, lucky creature, have your feet in both categories. Acknowledge the star quality that makes you inherently you. Now, all you have to do is let it shine.
Too tired to think…..Friday was pretty crazy being that it is 90% of guy’s favorite “holiday”. Let’s just say there was a ton of laughing and eating going on! Saturday was a productive day. We went to Ikea and bought a ton of stuff for our house. Our room looks awesome. Now we just need a plasma. Sooooon, very soon. Sat night we went out to a bar that would be cool if it was not located in Agoura Hills. We had a great time. Jes and I were drunk in a matter of seconds along with Chad and B. who knew that shuffle board can be so fun? Haha
Sunday was a day of remembering my Aunt Sherri. She passed a way a year ago of lung cancer. I have never heard about people going back to the cemetery to do a plaque ceremony but we did and it was different. It’s so heart braking to see how my Uncle reacts to stories about Sherri. Yesterday they were talking about the day he proposed to her and me being such a SAP, can’t help but get so sad and really take in to consideration how short life is. I hate it! Death is such a mystery and it’s terrifying! Make sure you never forget to tell people in your life that you love them whenever you can!
We came home and sat by the fire in snuggle-ville. I got to breath from chaos and finally paint my nails and relax. I love nights like that. My wonderful boyfriend gave me the greatest massage as we watched Family Guy which by the way is pretty funny.
Overall we had a great weekend…..

are you kidding me?!@@$^%&%&%^
WOW! I have to admit that I really liked Heidi from The Hills. most girls hate her and for whatever reason i didn't. i liked her until she started dating that douche bag of a man and i seriously wanted to slap her. to make it worse the article below from TMZ and UsWeekly says she got a boob and nose job!?!? wow. poor thing. Spencer is totally changing her. so sad.
TMZ:
Heidi Montag, "Hills" star and Lauren 'LC' Conrad's former BFF, says she had "nothing to do" with leaking the purported sex tape, which may or may not exist, supposedly starring LC and her troubled ex Jason Wahler.
In the new issue of Us Weekly, Montag also says that the reason she never called LC after news broke of the sex tape, which may or may not exist, was because Heidi was in the hospital recovering from her nose and boob jobs! Priorities, people! When asked if the sex tape, which may or may not exist, does in fact exist, Montag said, "No comment."
As far as her relationship with boyfriend/"Hills" resident slimeball Spencer Pratt is concerned, Heidi says, "It's perfect. We have so much fun. I never knew I could love someone like this." While Pratt chimes in saying, "I have never been so madly in love as I am with Heidi. She has the world's greatest boyfriend."
There's no question these two were made for each other.
USWEEKLY:
The bombshell revelation that The Hills star Lauren “LC” Conrad and ex-beau Jason Wahler might have a secret sex tape hit the internet on April 5, and there’s still enough drama to fill a whole season of the MTV reality smash. In the new issue of Us Weekly, the show’s resident “evil” couple, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, discuss Lauren and why they feel misunderstood.
Us: Lauren told Us you didn’t contact her after news broke about the tape. Your take?
Montag: “It’s astonishing that she would say that. I guess she forgot that I was in the hospital that week [Montag got breast implants and rhinoplasty on April 2.] Maybe that would explain why she didn’t call to see how I was doing.”
Us: So is there a sex tape?
Montag: “No comment.”
Us: Did you two leak the story?
Montag: “It’s amusing to me that because I didn’t call Lauren, I am behind the leak. It’s outrageous and inappropriate. I have nothing to do with the tape.”
Us: Spencer, did Lauren’s split from your pal Brody Jenner makes things tricky?
Pratt: “Lauren couldn’t get into clubs before she met us! We were her ticket to Hollywood. As soon as the double dating stopped, she was out. She has trouble being the third wheel. That’s what she was when Brody didn’t want to keep seeing her.”
Us: What is your relationship really like?
Montag: “Perfect. We have so much fun. I never knew I could love someone like this.”
Pratt: “I have never been so madly in love as I am with Heidi. She has the world’s greatest boyfriend!”
What does the duo have to say about Lauren’s insinuations that they leaked the story about the sex tape? How does Heidi react to accusations that Spencer is a player? Does she think she and Lauren will ever be friends again? For more on Heidi and Spencer’s side of the story, check out the new issue of Us Weekly, on

so disturbing
sick to my stomach.
BLACKSBURG, Va. - Between his first and second bursts of gunfire, the Virginia Tech gunman mailed a package to NBC News containing what authorities said were video, photos of himself brandishng weapons, and a rambling diatribe about getting even with rich people.
"This may be a very new, critical component of this investigation. We're in the process right now of attempting to analyze and evaluate its worth," said Col. Steve Flaherty, superintendent of Virginia State Police. He gave no details on the material.
NBC said that a time stamp on the package indicated the material was mailed in the two-hour window between the first burst of gunfire in a high-rise dormitory and the second fusillade, at a classroom building.
The package included digital images of him holding weapons and a manifesto that "rants against rich people and warns that he wants to get even," according to a law enforcement official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak about the case.
NBC said it immediately turned the package over to authorities on Wednesday. NBC would not disclose the contents beyond characterizing the material as "disturbing." The package was sent to NBC News head Steve Capus.
If the package was indeed mailed between the first attack and the second, that would help explain where Cho was and what he did during that two-hour window

To the Campus Community:
I know everyone in the university community is deeply saddened and distressed by Monday's events at Virginia Tech. They are a reminder of how vulnerable we are to anyone who wishes to tear at the fabric of community that forms the core of a free society and, by extension, a university campus.
The heartfelt sympathies of our Cal State Northridge family go out to everyone affected by this tragedy at Virginia Tech, including the survivors, the victims' families, and of course the university's faculty, staff, students, and administrators.
As we learn more about this event, considered the worst mass shooting in U.S. history, I am confident we as a university community will find ways to respond at Cal State Northridge to this tragedy. These include understanding what occurred, addressing feelings of distress or sorrow that may arise here, considering how to best express support for the Virginia Tech community, and continually assessing our own preparedness.
Cal State Northridge places a priority on emergency preparedness and response. Our campus emergency planning team regularly reviews campus policies and procedures, and conducts exercises to ensure familiarity with campus emergency procedures.
In the event of an emergency on campus, please contact the Department of Public Safety at 911 from campus phones or 818-677-2111 from mobile phones and outside lines. Members of the university community who wish to seek counseling support in the wake of the Virginia Tech tragedy may contact University Counseling Services at 818-677-2366.
As a mark of respect for the victims at Virginia Tech, and pursuant to a proclamation issued by the President of the United States, I have today ordered the campus flag over the Oviatt Library to be lowered to half staff until sunset Sunday, April 22, 2007.

BLACKSBURG, Va. - A gunman killed 30 people in two shooting incidents Monday at a college in Virginia in the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. The gunman also was killed, and at least 22 other people were injured.
“Today the university was struck with a tragedy that we consider of monumental proportions,” said Charles Steger, president of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, in southwest Virginia. “The university is shocked and indeed horrified.”
President Bush said in a brief televised statement: “Schools should be places of sanctuary and safety and learning. ... Today, our nation grieves with those who have lost loved ones at Virginia Tech.”
The shootings spread panic and confusion at the college. Witnesses reporting students jumping out the windows of a classroom building to escape the gunfire, which rang out just four days before the eighth anniversary of the Columbine High School bloodbath near Littleton, Colo., when two teenagers killed 12 fellow students and a teacher before taking their own lives.
Federal law enforcement officials told NBC News that the gunman was dead after he shot more than 50 people at two locations on campus. Thirty-one, including the gunman, were confirmed dead.
At least 22 others were being treated at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg and Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem, the hospitals said. Six of the victims were in surgery, and five were reported in stable condition. The conditions of the 17 others were not immediately reported.
The name of the gunman was not released. Witnesses described him as a man in his 20s, wearing a maroon cap and a black leather jacket. A spokesman for the FBI in Washington said there was no immediate evidence to suggest it was a terrorist attack, “but all avenues will be explored.”
Silent gunman ‘just started shooting’
The man did not appear to be shooting at random, NBC News’ Pete Williams reported, quoting federal law enforcement officials. He seemed to have specifically targeted the two locations, a coeducational dormitory and an engineering classroom across campus.
Law enforcement officials said the gunman carried two weapons, a 9-mm pistol and a 22-caliber handgun, Williams reported. They said gunman chained the doors of the classroom building so his potential victims could not escape and police could not enter.
A student in the engineering class describe an “unreal” scene with “blood pretty much everywhere.”
“None of us thought it could have been gunshots,” the student, who identified himself as Trey Perkins, told MSNBC’s Chris Jansing in a telephone interview. “... I’m not sure how long it lasted. It seemed like a really long time.”
Perkins said the gunman never said a word. “He didn’t say, ‘Get down.’ He didn’t say anything.” He just started shooting.”
The gunman left the classroom and then tried to return, but students kept him out by bracing the door closed with their feet. “He started to try to come in again and started shooting through the door,” Perkins said, but hit no one.
“I got on the ground and I was just thinking, like, there’s no way I’m going to survive this,” Perkins said. “All I could keep thinking of was my mom.”
Until Monday, the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history was in Killeen, Texas, in 1991, when George Hennard drove his pickup into a Luby’s Cafeteria and shot 23 people to death, then himself.
The deadliest previous campus shooting in U.S. history took place in 1966 at the University of Texas, where Charles Whitman climbed to the 28th-floor observation deck of a clock tower and opened fire. He killed 16 people before he was gunned down by police.
The rampage began about 7:15 a.m. ET at West Ambler Johnston, a coeducational residence hall that houses 895 people. The campus was still under lockdown, with students asked to stay indoors and away from the windows, when authorities got word of more gunfire about two hours later at Norris Hall, a classroom building.

we love everything about each other!
i know it’s Monday and all but I am in such a great mood! Maybe it’s because I went to bed at 8:30 or because I really LOVE life right now. These are my horoscopes for sat and today….
Life is pretty sweet for you right now, so find a way to share your good energy with your partner. Do something active -- the words and emotions will flow without hesitation.
Life is still good, and you're itching for a new adventure of some kind. You ought to be able to get your partner excited, so head out and see what you can discover together!
I love coming in to work on monday mornings and being in wow about my weekend! I had such a great time. Friday was a fun “time warp” night! I mean who goes to Wal-Mart around 11pm and buys 3 board games and then actually plays them! Haha let’s just say Brandon, Josh, Crystal and I were not sober…at all!! Lol. Sat was very productive. Brandon and I cleaned out our garage and I must say it’s the sexiest garage ever! Ha. It’s brandon’s home away from home! Whose garage has pictures up and a stereo with an extra fridge? Oh yah and NO spiders? OURS!!! Later on we went to dinner with Cindra and ryan and another couple, got wasted and went back to our house. The cards came out and a game of Kings was on! We were all pretty drunk and had a great time! Sunday was probably the best! Brandon and I went to the Long Beach Grand Prix (pricks..haha baby) I am not a huge car fan but it’s so fun and exhilarating to watch. The best though is to see how excited Brandon gets. I love seeing him so happy! That big smile and great energy he gives off is amazing. I love everything about him. Even when he runs off to chase cars or to take pictures, I love it. We have one of the best relationships ever. Aside from our love life we truly are best friends. We have such 50/50 friendship. We love to make each other happy even if the other one wouldn’t exactly do certain activities on their own…like going to a Mariah concert, or wango tango every year…OR going to the LB grand prix 4 years in a row….OR EVENTUALLY jumping out of a plane! PLEASE!!!!! Haha we do whatever we can to make the other person smile and I love that about us. That’s what makes us so strong.
Oh yah.. I can't believe I forgot to add in that Brandon had my windows tinted for me! my car looks soooooo much better! I LOVE it!

The Surprising Truth About Being a Bridesmaid
Continued from page 1
Your friend calls and says she has news. After a suspenseful pause, she screams “I’m getting married!” After telling her how happy you are for her (you are, right?), she says there’s more. “Would you be one of my bridesmaids?”
Your immediate response is yes, of course. But what are you really getting into? There’s more to being a bridesmaid than showing up for the big day in a peach taffeta monstrosity and walking down the aisle. It can be an extremely fun and memorable time for you and your engaged friend, but, before you commit, take the time to learn what it’s all about.
What exactly is a bridesmaid supposed to do?
“The basic principle behind being in a wedding party is general support and advice to the bride...calming her, helping with plans and sending her off into her new life and letting her know she’s loved (corny, but true),” says Catie Royal, 23, who has been a bridesmaid three times already and has two more stints on the way.
Most of the support you’ll be giving as a bridesmaid is emotional. Even the most organized brides might have a breakdown or two—and when she does, she’ll most likely call you to make her laugh and reassure her that the wedding will be perfect.
Aside from being a shoulder to cry on, another (potentially more fun) part of your duties is to plan the bridal shower and bachelorette party.
As a bridesmaid, you are also expected to provide some financial support by paying for your wedding day outfit (dress, shoes and jewelry) and travel expenses.
Wait, you mean I have to pay for things? Like what?
Weddings are expensive for everyone, including the bridesmaids. Christa Vagnocci, Senior Editor at TheKnot.com, says bridesmaids can expect to spend $1,000 to $1,500 on the wedding. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll be shelling out for:
The dress: Vagnocci says the average price is $300
Shoes: Unless you convince the bride to let you wear ones you already own, you’ll need new ones.
Accessories: Sometimes the bride will give her girls the jewelry she wants them to wear as a gift. However, that’s not always the case, so set aside money for baubles, purses and/or wraps.
Travel: If you live far away from the wedding site, this can get pricey. You’ll need to pay for airfare, hotel and a rental car if necessary.
Gifts: You’ll need to get the happy couple engagement and wedding gifts and bring a gift for the bridal shower.
Bridal shower/bachelorette party: These fun events are your responsibility. While you can ask guests at the bachelorette party to pitch in (just make sure to do it before the party so they’re prepared), you can’t ask bridal shower guests to help pay.
Hair and makeup: Sometimes brides will foot the bill for this, so tactfully ask before the big day.
If you’re a cash-strapped bridesmaid, don’t start panicking just yet. Be honest with your friend and tell her what you can afford. She obviously wants you to be a part of this wedding, so you should be able to work out some compromises.
What happens on the wedding day? Do I become a beck-and-call girl?
In a sense, yes, but since it’s for your friend it won’t be so bad. Bridesmaids are expected to get themselves ready (on time) for the wedding and help the bride get ready and run any last minute errands she may have.
At the reception, you’re an unofficial host. This means it’s your job to get the party started (by hitting the dance floor) and keep it running smoothly (by mingling with guests, helping them find the restrooms, etc.). You’ll also want to keep an eye on the bride and groom. Many times they’ll be so busy they won’t have time to eat, drink or even sit down. Help them out whenever you can.
“Take a lot of pictures! Brides have a hard time capturing all the fun moments at the wedding because they are so busy, so being able to look at photos your bridesmaids took is really fun,” says recent bride Nikki Hanley.
Vagnocci says if you want to be a super-star bridesmaid, bring the following with you the day of the wedding to help the bride: face powder, oil-blotting papers, bottled water, mints, Band-Aids and tissues.
“My bridesmaids all made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day—they were all smiles and compliments and seemed like they were having fun—it made the whole ‘backstage’ part of the wedding so special,” Hanley says.
My friend asked me to be the maid of honor; does that mean I have a bigger job?
With the top honor comes more responsibility. Maids of honor generally are in charge of the bridesmaids (making sure they’ve all ordered their dresses and show up on time for the wedding). They also get the honor of acting as a witness when the couple signs their marriage license.
The task of planning the bridal shower and bachelorette party also falls on your shoulders. While you should certainly ask the other bridesmaids for help, it’s up to you to lead.
I love my friend, but I just can’t do this right now. How can I (nicely) turn down an offer to be a bridesmaid?
The most important thing is to be honest with your friend and tell her why you can’t do it. Sometimes the problem can be worked out. If it’s a money or time issue she may be able to help. If it’s because you don’t agree with whom she’s marrying or something serious, then realize that your friendship might be damaged if you say no, but you have to do what’s right for you.
Michael Lasky, who runs the site bridesmaid101.com, offers some advice for those embarking on the bridesmaid journey:
“Remember it’s the bride’s day, no matter what anyone else wants—ultimately it’s her day and you want to make it the best day possible for her,” Lasky says.
P.S. Ever wonder where those crazy traditions come from?
You know the phrase, “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue,” right? Well these objects are thought to bring the bride good luck if she carries them on her wedding day and they’re usually given to her by family and friends right before the wedding. This British tradition says that the old represents continuity, the new is for optimism, borrowed is for borrowed happiness and blue is for purity, love and fidelity.
Another tradition is the bridesmaids all dressing alike. In the past, bridesmaids dressed like the bride to confuse evil spirits that might wish to harm her. These days it’s more for aesthetic reasons. And catching the bouquet? Traditionally, the girl who catches it is the next one to marry—so if that’s your goal, good luck!

so as much as i hate to admit it, i can't help but get hooked every time the show comes on! maybe it's because of how talented the girls are or simply because i am so jealous that i am not on the show. clearly it's not their talent SO yes, i am jealous! i love them and want to be a PCD so bad. they get to dance and sing for a GOOD living and travel all around the world for free! gosh. i dream about dancing in a cute lingerie with a bright pink boa. i have big dreams! lol, no but seriously...i love my life right now....but I've always had this obsession with being a PCD.
it's sad to watch how hard they drill these poor girls on the show when we all know they are going to be thrown in the back to harmonize with the other girls. there is only one true singer in the group and the rest are eye candy'. my top 2 are Melissa S. and Melissa R.! this is one out of the many shows where Brandon won't complain when it's on...
2 more shows left...can't wait to see who is going to become an instant celebrity! ;)

WEDnesday..(winkwink MJ)

so far it's not a bad week. lost my keys, 4 tests last night and have a HUGE test on Monday! hmm...well actually i lucked out cause it was supposed to be tonight and was postponed till Monday! phew! seriously my stress level was about to be unbearable!
Thank gawd for Wednesdays! that much closer to Thursday! i love my weekends and all but Thursdays have really started to grow on me! last day of school and a start to my weekend!
Happy Wednesday!

Bad Boss Blues
Tips for Surviving Challenging Supervisors
Robert Half InternationalBuilding good rapport with your boss is essential to your career success. After all, he or she decides which projects you take on and how quickly you advance. But not all workers see eye-to-eye with their supervisors. Here are some common types of managers and tips for working with each of them.
The Box of Chocolates
As with selecting a bonbon from an assortment, you never know what you're going to get with this boss. The manager may confide in you one day and turn a cold shoulder the next.
Your Coping Strategy: Remain calm when interacting with this type of boss. When this manager is on edge, limit communication to email unless a matter is urgent. Do everything you can to ease this person's stress level, which may be driving his or her mood swings.
The Bully
This boss has a consistent disposition: overbearing. This type of supervisor also tends to be gruff with others and is easily frustrated.
Your Coping Strategy: Deal with this person by standing up for yourself. In fact, this person may do a complete 180 once he or she is convinced you're up to the challenge of working together. If your manager continues to bully you, however, move on.
The Control Freak
This person wants to know every detail of every project. He or she also has trouble delegating tasks, and may not give you very challenging assignments.
Your Coping Strategy: Trust is usually the issue, so try to build it. Start a log that details the status of your current projects and steps you've taken to ensure quality work. The more confident your manager is in your abilities, the less controlling that person is likely to be.
The Mute
This manager lets staff members "figure things out on their own." Because this person relies on email -- and works behind closed doors -- you rarely have the opportunity to clarify ambiguous messages.
Your Coping Strategy: Don't be afraid to ask questions, even if through email. If a topic becomes so complex that you begin shooting messages back and forth, your boss may eventually request an in-person meeting. If the conversation goes well, he or she may even realize verbal dialogue can be an efficient mode of communication.
The Best Friend
This person is afraid to set standards because he or she wants to be liked by everyone. This manager frequently relinquishes responsibility for the sake of friendship, compromising the team's ability to function.
Your Coping Strategy: Enjoy the occasional lunch out, but keep a professional distance and support this person when he or she exerts authority. Once your boss understands leadership is needed, he or she may feel more confident in the role and be more active in managing you and the rest of the team.

Twentyfouryearsold! Yikes. Kinda scary that 25 is right around the corner! I had the most amazing birthday weekend! I thought that nothing could top our wild weekend in vegas and surprise surprise….this past weekend was craziness. Friday, Brandon and I took off work and went to Magic Mountain! so fun. It seems like forever and a day since we’ve been there. We got fast passes and went on all the rides we wanted. It was pretty crowded filled with ghetto fabulous people, but we went through the exit every time! ;) last day of spring break! Adrenaline, screaming, laughing, kissing and being extremely goofy was our Friday! Thanks lover! We got home and met Greg and Christina for dinner and margaritas! “happy birthday to Ponchita” hahahaha. Brandon I’m thinking about the song you made up! Haha!
Sat morning I had 8 wonderful people meet me at our house and it was off to Firestone Winery along with many more! http://www.firestonewine.com/ of course we stopped to eat and got lost for a bit but we made it, finally. In a matter of minutes we were all wasted!
We went to 5 wineries in less than 3 hours! Woo! Wine tasting has got to be one of the best things to do! Especially with your love and best friends! We made it to Solvang and went to the smallest restaurant in the world. The food sucked and we got yelled at for being too loud. Pfft. Are you kidding me? There are 8 drunk people sitting in a place that holds about 20 and they wanted us to be quiet! Uhh, NO!
the drive home wasn’t as bad as I thought, but it wasn’t great either. Sunday-Happy Easter!! Gladstone’s is always amazing! Mmm, bibs and small forks=love.
Brandon and I got home after brunch on Sunday and crashed. We were zombies all day long! Oiy! I loved every minute of my birthday weekend! Brandon, you light up my whole world! Thanks for making me feel so special! I love you Nodnarb!
Oh yah..and Of course is there any other better way to end a great weekend than realizing you left your keys in the door (outside) and think that someone may have taken them? If that’s not it, then maybe mixie hid them….but all I can say is it sucks to not have your keys…..argh!
