2007 GRADUATE!

Wowowowowowowowow! Yesterday was by far the best day of my life. I can’t even begin to explain how amazing it was…I went to bed tues night and couldn’t sleep AT ALL! I got up at 4:30AM and took a shower and started getting ready. Brandon got up and gave me my grad gift. He is the most amazing guy ever! Love you baby! I was so nervous and couldn’t relax. Thank god we had people come over at 6 for some pre-graduation mimosas! yum. After a few drinks it was off to CSUN. I just wanted to say that the cap and gowns are the ugliest outfits ever!!! Gag.
Alright back to our day….Jess and I said our goodbyes to Brandon, Chad and Marie and met up with all the other Grad’s. I was a ball of energy prancing around. It was finally time to start. Hearing the graduation song and walking to our seats was so surreal! It was by far the greatest feeling to know that it’s OVER! It was our turn to walk on stage….yikes. I thought I was going to throw up. I couldn’t stop moving around….the school takes two pictures of you when you are on stage; one in front of the csun sign and another when you shake the presidents hand. Well…since jess was right behind me, she asked if we could take them together and they did!!!! So awesome. They called my name and I think I went numb. I was so proud of myself to FINALLY walk across that stage! WOO! I waited for jess at the bottom and ran up and hugged her. This lady was taking pics of us and said that she was a reporter and was putting them in the newspaper. Not sure which one but keep your eyes out. Haha…as soon as they said for all the graduates to move our tassels I knew it was over. 4 hard years is over! All that time for a 2 hour ceremony! It was so much fun to graduate with my best friend. We have been through so much together. We had a falling out a few years ago and found out it was all a lie. We were reunited back at csun and I know we’ll always be friends. Love you jess! We graduated together in high school and now college. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason.. After all the pictures with our family and friends a bunch of us went to Gladstone’s. YUM! Toasting to graduating with a bloody mary in my hand was all I wanted!  we came home (exhausted) and then Brandon and I went to my mom’s house. Overall my day was PERFECT! Everything I thought it would be, WAS and MORE! Thank you to Brandon-my love, Jess-my bestie and my favorite graduate, Marie-for taking off of work and being the best, Randee-for coming and supporting me, my 3 wonderful brothers-love you all so much, my mom and Hal and dad and Tanya! Thank you all for coming! Means the world!

B is for....

Love long weekends! I would kill to have four day weekends all the time. B and I made it to FOUR years!! So exciting to know that we have accomplished more than we could have dreamed about in only four years..love. so we took the day off and went to Magic Mountain with my bro Derek and Colby. The park was empty and we were like kids running around. I have never been on so many rides in one trip. FUN! the BEST part about Friday was when I woke up and got to open my present. Brandon gave me the heart shaped Tiffany’s locket! I can’t even explain the feeling I had especially when I opened it and there was a picture from when we were 13 and last xmas. He is amazing! I have wanted this locket since I was a little girl and it means the world coming from him! THANKS BABY!
Sat was relaxing. We did NOTHING during the day. We went to Courtney and Brian’s to watch the UFC fight which totally sucked. It was over in 1 minute. I couldn’t believe they called it so fast.
Sunday we went to my moms to swim and eat and we all got totally wrapped up in the Indy 500. I wanted Danica to win so badly! Damn. Monday morning i met up with Marie and all the girls. it was fun to see everyone and get caught up. we went back to my moms for a BBQ but this time Colin, Devin, David and Crystal came. We were hammered all day! So fun. nothing better than being in the pool with a margarita. I woke up this morning with a massive headache. Yay to 3 day work week! This is going to be the best week yet….!

The Next time i will be at CSUN is to walk across the stage in a cap and gown! i am so excited and i can't stop smiling!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to my family, friends and the best boyfriend any girl can dream for. he has been my support system and we make one hell of a good team! it feels so weird to finally be out of school. term papers, DONE..Finals, DONE...what next?? well....for those of you close to me, you know exactly what's next....

And the countdown begins…..10 DAYS until Graduation! SCREAM! Brandon and I truly had a rock STAR weekend. My older Bro was promoted and he had a party at the Sunset Marquis.Everyone there was in the entertainment industry and it was amusing to watch them mingle. We had a great time until this crack head of a guy came up to us. Long story. All I have to say is that Ladies, WATCH your drinks when talking to creepy men. He put something in my drink and THANK gawd I saw. Gross F**k! we (Brandon, Derek, Colby, Justin, Sam and I) went on a taco bell run at 3:00AM and went back to Justin’s to eat. TB is so yummy after 1AM. We got home right before the sun came up. we woke up Saturday morning and cleaned our pretty house. I love it. Then we went to Valencia for a house warming party. It was nice. We came home and took a “power” nap. We woke up at 9 or so and I was down to stay asleep through the night. Brandon talked me in to waking up and going to Santa Monica to meet his cousin’s. we hung out and took shots and got to holly’s at midnight.





It was cool, nothing special. We ended up getting a table THANK GAWD cause I couldn't’t see it being fun any other way. The one thing I hated about the place was there was ONE bathroom for the girls. Are you kidding me???!?! I didn’t want to drink just so I wouldn’t have to pee. Well obviously that didn’t happen and I ended up waiting in line for about 45 minutes to pee. I was in tears and I hated being there. We closed Holly’s down, so amusing to see what people look like when the lights are on….Brandon and I were on our way home when TB sounded good....AGAIN! We stopped for some hard tacos and Mexican pizza and it was off to bed. Our Sunday was very relaxing. Brandon got up early and played with his car and cleaned the garage and I studied for my finals. We went to Il Tramezzino for a yummy sandwich and a fun romantical lunch. it was such a beautiful day yesterday.

We went home and once again took a nap. Haha we’re getting old, or maybe it was because we had 8 hours of sleep all weekend. We woke up and went to Sushi with my two little bro’s. What a GREAT weekend! 2 finals left and I am DONEZO! Woot!

last night i had to finish a term paper. you know that feeling of being on page 7 and you're almost done but lose total focus?? well that happened last night. i was so frustrated and just wanted to throw the computer. then i have brandon read through it and the computer dies. as you could imagine i was devastated thinking i lost the paper. Nope, thank gawd. after i was done my amazing boyfriend took me to sushi! mmmmm it's such a stress reliever. i love him. we always have such a great time when we are together. smile.

so Crystal and I went to downtown for "work". what an adventure. i must say that i felt like i was in a different state. i have only been to the "alley" once and i can't really decide if I like it. i love downtown but my feelings are mixed about the alley. every walk of life is down there trying to sell you turtles, bunnies and contacts. what a combo, i know. did you also know that you can buy panties where they sell hot dog y soda? same cart! what a deal. of course i splurged on some jewelry and C bought flats but overall.....the fakeness drives me crazy! i don't even know if the converse were real??! i mean they were the same price so maybe they were. not sure. Then we went to Olvera street. i haven't been there since i was 5 so it was completely new to me. we had yummy cheap Mexican food and went in to a few stores. that place is not cheap. it was a beautiful day in LA and now i want to live there. the "city" atmosphere makes me happy.

one final down and 3 more to go! yikes. Last night was one of the greatest nights ever. Jess and I got our CAPS and GOWNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i can't even explain the overwhelming emotions that came over me! it's been two years since i first started going to CSUN and i am so excited that i am finally done! not to mention that i am Graduating college with my best friend. we've been through a lot and i am so HAPPY we are accomplishing this together. (same major too) Every time i think about it i want to cry! i know, CHEESE. it was tough and what seemed like forever but i did it! i have an extremely high demanding job, a boyfriend who i live with and try so hard not to neglect and have been a full time student along with trying to deal with all of life's obstacles. sigh. there were times when i didn't think it was possible but i made it! it's scary to think about no more stressing about school. i know that sounds weird but i am so used to having school in my life and now i'm done. for some reason I can't stop thinking about Grad school. who knows, i might just have to get my Masters!

FINALS week sucks! i feel like there is not enough time in the day for me to do all the assignments that are due and to study for finals. for once i want my days to be longer and for time to stop! sigh.

seriously why is it that Monday mornings are always the absolute WORST? i get in to work this morning and my email is down. not the whole office email, just mine. argh.

weekend fun! friday night we went to our friends casa and seriously became alcoholics. drinking, hot tub, drinking, playing games and more hot tub. so fun. we ended up crashing at Josh and Crystal's and woke up and watched Happy Feet. i wouldn't say it was nearly as amazing as Finding Nemo but it was cute. i seriously want a baby penguin so bad. we finally got up and went home. i hate being hung over. we went to meet Courtney and Bryan at a BBQ.





we walked in and realized that we were the only sober ones and were immediately thrown in to a game of flip cup. back to drinking..... my favorite memory was when a girl passed out on the couch and everyone got this bright idea to stack pillows on top of her head.

so funny. we went to court and Bry's house and watched Cat house.

i know i may sound like i live under a rock but i have never seen it before. i was amazed! it might be my new favorite show..haha
Mommy's day was fun and relaxing. once again i was hung over and wanted to sleep. NOPE. we were eating by 9AM! yikes. long day and one hell of a happy ending! we got about 8 hours of sleep ALL weekend but it was fun. back to another week.

Thursday update:

We went to Greg and Christina’s for a BBQ. So fun. Cindra and Ryan came and we started the night off with some blended margaritas! Mmmmmm. it was like we were back in the 5th grade when guys are on one side and girls on the other. So cute. Greys Anatomy started and we were glued to the TV. not the guys of course but I’d have to say that deep down they all love it. After we watched the amazing previews for next week, (will Izzy and George be together???) we played a game of Kings. Can I just say that I love that game! Well, aside from Ryan’s dumb rule to stand the whole game it’s pretty fun. Brandon and I came home and got in to such a heated conversation about life. Wow. I almost feel refreshed today although we only slept for about 4 hours. (haha baby). I am sooo happy FRIDAY is here. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!

But is Pinkberry really yogurt?

That's the uncomfortable question swirling this week around the uber-trendy, Los Angeles-based chain that has attracted legions of calorie-counting, yoga mat-toting devotees and spawned a spate of imitators.

"Crackberry" addicts, prepare for your favorite dessert to take a licking from California Department of Food and Agriculture officials. Their answer:

Nogurt.

"You can't call a product frozen yogurt unless it's mixed off-site and delivered to the site as frozen yogurt," said Steve Lyle, a department spokesman.

Pinkberry executives concede that their product is made with a powder and mixed in-store. They say it includes plain yogurt, yet they wouldn't disclose what else goes into their refreshingly tart treat.

But a lawsuit might force them to take their secret recipe out of the deep freeze.

This week, a civil suit was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court by L.A. resident Bryan Williams, 48, who contends that Pinkberry's powdered mix lacks the "good" bacteria cultures found in yogurt.

"For lack of a better word, it's just dessert," said Williams' attorney, Michael Amir. "We're just asking for them to … tell the public the truth."

Williams, a legal recruiter who lives in West Hollywood, could not be reached for comment, but Amir says his client is a health-conscious guy with no affiliation to any Pinkberry competitor.

Mary Glarum, another attorney for Williams, said: "We're not asking for punitive damages…. The goal is to just have them come clean about what they're doing so that people can make an informed decision when they buy the product."

But Pinkberry founders — who now have 15 California franchises and three in New York — say they are "under attack" by imitators. The suit, they say, is just the latest salvo from a slew of bitter rivals.

Pinkberry "is yogurt, absolutely 100%" vowed company President Young Lee, who said he's working with the state to resolve the concerns. "We are more frozen yogurt than other frozen yogurt."
