HURRAY IT'S FRIDAY!

there was NO traffic this morning. the usual sign that i look to for comfort that tells me how long it will take to get to Downtown said 12 minutes!!! what?! normally i'm happy if it says 40 mins..so.....i got to work hellah early. better than being late right? right. soo...Friday, YAY!!!!

I hope EVERYONE had a Merry Merry Merry holiday! sucks to be back at work but at least it's a short week....We had a GREAT Christmas!! i have to say that I have the most amazing boyfriend. he is truly one of the greatest people i know. he is my best friend. we spoiled each other for Christmas and lets just say i cant wait till New Years eve!!!!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! is it bad that i got all teary eyed when i opened my gift. more details after the 1st...YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

so we had four days full of nothing but love. Brandon's Bro and my Bro were in town and we got to hang with them. drank a lot...watched Dane cook...shopped...found out that my besties sister is engaged!!..made people smile...and got tons of holiday love!! i am looking for another great year!!!!! and we are ending 2007 the best possible way we can! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

In an exclusive interview in the new Us Weekly on newsstands today, an often tense Montag and Pratt explain why their engagement ended, and claim they are still together – but with no plans to wed.

Says Montag,"We're just going back to being boyfriend and girlfriend..." as Pratt interjects without mockery, "...when our relationship was flawless."

So where is Montag's engagement ring? "I turned it into a pendant," she says. "It wasn't my dream ring. I don't like what it represents. I might sell it."

As for Lauren Conrad? When asked if she might be laughing at them, Montag tells Us, "It would be really sad if she did, but her opinions don't affect me at all. She's not a part of my life anymore."

Sat-We got up early and made Tamales with B's family. it was hard but fun..

We had our 3rd ornament party! YAY! we had a great time! I can't believe it's the third year! wow. of course Brandon and I added a twist and decided to wear the worst holiday sweaters we could find. believe it or not they were hard to find. we went on a mission but finally scored!!

Sun-We went to More than Waffles with Jess and Chad. mmmmmmmmm nothing like yummy waffles after a long night of drinking. Brandon and I had the best day. i love it when we have nothing to do but hang out and be lazy. so nice.

My work Christmas party was yesterday at Barefoot in Beverly Hills. We left work at 11:30 (so nice). It was such a nice place. we had the whole upstairs including an open bar! ;) it was fun to mingle with people from work outside of work. i work with such great people. it's so nice to adore everyone you work with and to have an actual Christmas party. the drinks were yummy and the food was great. we left around 3:30. it was nice to be home early for a change.

Brandon got home from work and we went to get our Christmas tree. I love the holidays and i love decorating and being Martha Stewart-ish. we picked out the perfect tree and took it home to rearrange our place. we are decorating the tree tonight! soooo excited!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEE

yesterday was one of the most painful days...It was Cassandra's Memorial service. I wasn't super close to her but she was always around in the most random times. The Memorial was so touching and heart braking. Her boyfriend talked about her in such a way that it hurt to hear but you didn't want him to stop. He started off by calling her cell and listening to her voicemail. this is at the point where i could not control my tears. it sunk in at that moment that we will never hear that voice again. it was so sad and he told the cutest stories and talked so highly of her. He told us everything the poor girl went through and her struggle with the cancer. Cancer is an awful disease. we all know about cancer and that it leads to death but the things he was describing were so horrifying. she is one of the strongest people i know and i admire her strength. yesterday was so surreal. too surreal. it hurts and i cant stop crying. i find myself thinking about her and try and imagine what she felt and how scared she was. i couldn't imagine being in her shoes. she was too young to lose her life.
i want to travel around the world and live life. i hate how money restricts us to LIVE. i hate how we are in a routine all day every day. why do we have to work 8-5? why cant we all enjoy the life we have?
Imagine being told you have 3 months to live?! what would you do? how would you feel?
Her boyfriend is an amazing guy and i respect him so much. he was with her through the whole thing and i loved his story. he made you feel good in a weird way.
the key to life is to love and be happy! please don't spend your time dwelling on negative bull sh**! it will get you no where and lead to regrets. when we all think that we have problems....after listening to a portion of what C went through i know damn well that i have no problems.

Death is so scary and is something we will never figure out until it is our "time". The scariest part of death is the unknown. Where do they go? What happens? WHY? It's scary and heart braking to feel that you may never see the person you lost again. It's hard and painful to deal with.

Life is too short to have people in it that don't mean anything to you. Life is too short to be negative. Life is all about taking chances and meeting those who make a difference in your world. i love and cherish everyone in my life and am thankful and lucky to have such amazing people around me all the time.

Choose Love
Love is often presented as the opposite of fear, but true love is not opposite anything. True love is far more powerful than any negative emotions, as it is the environment in which all things arise. Negative emotions are like sharks swimming in the ocean of love. All things beautiful and fearful, ugly and kind, powerful and small, come into existence, do their thing, and disappear within the context of this great ocean. At the same time, they are made of the very love in which they swim and can never be separated. We are made of this love and live our whole lives at one with it, whether we know it or not.

It is only the illusion that we are separate from this great love that causes us to believe that choosing anything other than love makes sense or is even possible. In the relative, dualistic world of positive and negative, darkness and light, male and female, we make choices and we learn from them. This is exactly what we are meant to be doing here on earth. Underlying these relative choices, though, is the choice to be conscious of what we are, which is love, or to be unconscious of it. When we choose to be conscious of it, we choose love. We will still exist in the relative world of opposites and choices and cause and effect, and we will need to make our way here, but doing so with an awareness that we are all made of this love will enable us to be more playful, more joyful, more loving and wise, as we make our way. Ultimately, the choices we make will shed light on the love that makes us all one, enabling those who have forgotten to return to the source.

This world makes it easy to forget this great love, which is part of why we are here. We are here to remember and, when we forget to remember again, to choose love.

SAN JOSE!

weekend update.

Friday was chill, nothing special. Sat we were on the road around 7 on our way up to San Jose. Brandon, Angelique and I were going up for Brandon's Bro's bday but it was a surprise. he had no idea we were coming up. our ride up there was an adventure as always with the highlight being an 80 year old lady speeding and weaving in and out of traffic in a Mercedes AMG with a radar detector on her window. CLASSIC! of course we had to video it because no one would ever believe us. hah.
so we get there and did our SURPRISE and it was off to lunch at Bills and then to race. we all went Go Karting and it was amazing! i loved it. i think Brandon loved it more to see me racing but it was awesome! i came in 8th out of 10 peeps..haha

after racing we got ready for the night. we met up with a bunch of Mark and Ashley's friends and went to Tres Gringos for some yummy mexican food. after that it was of off to Voodoo. we danced for a bit but we were so tired. i felt like i drank so much but couldn't keep up. we left the club around 2 and went back to Mark's. everyone came and didn't leave until 4:30ish. at the time it sucked cause we were going on 24 hours and Brandon and I couldn't keep our eyes open any longer.
Sunday we went to Breakfast and got on the road. what a great 24hours. it felt like we crammed a weekend in to one day/night. I absolutely adore Brandon's family and I am one lucky girl to be in love with him and his family.

so here we are..another monday. Brandon got great news that he will be traveling for a week to Arizona for the Barrett Jackson auto auction. this is huge. he has only been at his job for 2 full weeks and he's already going to be traveling! CONGRATS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

furiiday

last night was purrrrrfectO! Brandon and I were in a goofy mood and had a random night. I got home and we were going to work out but got lost in Myspace world. we had one too many laughs and too many gasping moments. it's so funny how Myspace can be so addicting and yet so boring...so after what seemed like forever we were over working out..we decided to go to the store for wine...we weren't sure what we wanted for dinner so we walked around the store about 5 times until i discovered corn dogs! mmmmmmmm yep nailed it. so we went home and had wine and dogs. hah. while we were eating our healthy meal we couldn't stop laughing at MXC. i swear that's the best show ever! we were so in to it. oh yah and we had a fire going...
so we started to get sleepy and the fire was still going and we didnt want to go upstairs yet so what do we do???? we sleep downstairs. duh. Brandon gave me a rub which was amazing! thanks lover. smile.
