One for the girls

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my shape to keep.
Please no wrinkles, Please no bags
And please lift my butt before it sags.
Please no age spots, Please no gray
And as for my belly, Please take it away .
Please keep me healthy, Please keep me young,
And thank you Dear Lord, For all that you've done.

Five tips for a woman....
1. It is important that a man helps you around the house and has a job.
2. It is important that a man makes you laugh.
3. It is important to find a man you can count on and doesn't lie to You.
4. It is important that a man loves you and spoils you.
5. It is important that these four men don't know each other.

YAY for Life of Ryan!

DailyOm-DEAD ON!

Choosing Peace
Aries Daily Horoscope
You may be pulled in different directions by your thoughts today and feel mentally exhausted as a result. You may find yourself wanting to escape from conflict but are not sure how to do so. It may be helpful to set aside a period of time to be alone, because you will be better able to tune into your spiritual center and access your inner peace. Simply take some time to relax, release the tension in your body, and focus on emptying your mind of all thoughts today. Then, turn your attention inward and seek the pool of silence that resides within you. Allow yourself to remain in this blissful space for as long as necessary. You should feel more balanced and centered and ready for the rest of your day.

Consciously choosing to adopt a more peaceful focus can give us a greater sense of balance and serenity. Though our thoughts can push and pull at our sense of peace, we may simply need to shift our focus of attention. Doing so gives us a quiet reprieve that can result in a clearer perspective. We realize we are not powerless over our thoughts, and we can choose to feel peaceful at any time. We then feel more in control of our thoughts and emotions, more in balance, and calmer. You can quiet your thoughts and calm your emotions today by choosing to do so.

my horo

You aren't totally comfortable with the way things are going right now, thanks in large part to the weird emotional energy that is suffusing your surroundings. The good news is it won't last very long.

isn't it crazy when they are soooooo dead on?

Some wackO pretends to be Heath Ledger's dad?!! what???? poor Tom Cruise...first someone tries to extort money, hahahaha and then someone pretends to be Kim Ledger. eek.

on TMZ: "Guess founder Georges Marciano is suing his former accountant, claiming the CPA blew more than $2,000,000 of his money." yikes...sorry boss.

New Kids on the Block coming back?! huh? why? I guess rock out with your C**k out!

Brohan (Brody and Lohan) is false! thanks Ryan!

iiiiick

yesterday was tough..

it was Peter's funeral and the thought that we will never see him again makes me sick. why? why ask why? eow. his son gave the most incredible speech. he could barely breath and was crying so hard. it was hard to listen too. he opened up more than i have ever seen in the past 3 years. it was so sad. i hate when people are in pain. i cant believe he's gone. Cancer is an awful disease and as we all know....the end results are more bad than good. of course there are survivors but sometimes we are not capable of beating it. i HATE it! Peter was someone that i looked up to in every possible way. he was a great man who always made me feel proud even after i no longer worked for him. i will miss his emails. i will miss asking him how he feels. At least he is no longer battling a terrible disease. I am thankful that he is no longer in pain but i will miss him dearly.

you will always be in my heart and my prayers go out to you and your family!

:(

TODAY IN THE DAILY OM EMAIL:
"Growing Pains
Difficult Times
It can be very challenging to maintain a positive attitude and a measure of faith when you are in the midst of difficult times. This is partly because we tend to think that if the universe loves us we will experience that love in the form of positive circumstances. However, we are like children, and the universe is our wise mother who knows what our souls need to thrive better than we do. Just as a young child does not benefit from getting everything she wants, we also benefit from times of constriction and difficulty to help us grow and learn. If we keep this in mind, and continue to trust that we are loved even when things are hard, it helps us bear the difficult time with grace.

This period of time in history is full of difficulty for a lot of human beings, and you may feel less alone knowing you are not being singled out. There are extreme energy changes pulsing through the universe at every level and, of course, we are all part of the growing process and the growing pains. It helps if we remember that life is one phase after another and that this difficult time will inevitably give way to something new and different. When we feel overwhelmed we can comfort ourselves with the wise saying: This too shall pass.

At the same time, if you truly feel that nothing is going right for you, it’s never a bad idea to examine your life and see if there are some changes you can make to alleviate some of the difficulty. Gently and compassionately exploring the areas giving you the most trouble may reveal things you are holding onto and need to release: unprocessed emotions, unresolved transitions, or negative ways of looking at yourself or reality. As you take responsibility for the things you can change, you can more easily surrender to the things you can’t, remembering all the while that this phase will, without doubt, give way to another."

Thinking of you Peter! you will be missed by so many!

BC pill

KTLA reports:
"Women on the birth control pill are protected from ovarian cancer, even decades after they stop taking it, scientists said.

British researchers found that women taking the pill for 15 years halved their chances of developing ovarian cancer, and that the risk remained low more than 30 years later, though protection weakened over time. The findings were published Friday in The Lancet.

"Not only does the pill prevent pregnancy, but in the long term, you actually get less cancer as well," said Valerie Beral, the study's lead author and director of the Cancer Research UK Epidemiology Unit at Oxford University. "It's a nice bonus." The study was paid for by Cancer Research UK and Britain's Medical Research Council.

Beral and colleagues analyzed data from 45 studies worldwide, covering 23,257 women with ovarian cancer, of whom 31 percent were on the pill. They also looked at 87,303 women without ovarian cancer, of whom 37 percent were on the pill.

In both groups, the women on the pill took it on average five years. The researchers found that in rich countries, women taking oral contraceptives for a decade were less likely to develop ovarian cancer.

Without the pill, about 12 women per 1,000 are expected to get ovarian cancer before age 75. But that figure dropped to 8 women per 1,000 in those on the pill."

This is awesome considering most every girlfriend of mine is on the pill and have been for years. The study says that the risk of ovarian cancer is cut by 20% for every five years she is on the pill!!! wow.
"The experts estimated that use of the pill so far has prevented about 200,000 cases of ovarian cancer and 100,000 deaths from the disease. Based on current levels of oral contraceptive usage, they guessed that 30,000 cases could be avoided every year."
wow! good to know!!

from the Daily OM

An Incomplete Understanding
Feeling Lonely
We all have days when we feel lonely, but the very idea of loneliness comes from the false notion that we are separate and isolated parts in a world filled with other separate, isolated parts. In truth, we can no more be separate from our world than a fish can be separate from the water in which it swims. When we really begin to look at the boundaries we see as so solid, they prove to be, in fact, quite porous. For example, it is not clear exactly where our skin ends and the air begins when we consider how our skin is affected by changes in the quality of the air. When it is dry, our skin becomes dry, and when it is humid, our skin becomes moist and supple.

By the same token, it is difficult sometimes to distinguish the boundary between one person and another, especially when our actions tie us together so inextricably. Every move we make has an effect that touches all the people around us. On an even more subtle level, when we share space with another person, we often pick up on their energy, feeling how they feel and attuning to them, whether we mean to or not. This is what we mean when we say a mood or a feeling is contagious. We cannot help but be part of the realities of the people around us because we take form from the same energetic force, and this force unifies all life. This force is the light that all the great mystics and gurus encourage us to move toward, and it is the light we will dissolve into when we move beyond our individual egos.

If loneliness is a temporary condition based on an incomplete understanding of what we are made of, we can think of its presence as a catalyst for exploring our ideas about reality. We can respond by testing the boundaries we believe separate us from the life within and all around us. If we test them, we will discover that they are not so solid after all and that we can never really be alone.

thinking of you buddy o'le pal!

we'll get through this!

KTLA says:
"Some kitty math: How many lives did little tabby Gracie Mae use up when she crawled into her owner's suitcase, went through an airport X-ray machine, got loaded onto a plane, thrown onto a baggage belt and mistakenly picked up by a stranger far from home?

"She's got to be at four or five now," Seth Levy said after his 10-month-old pet was returned Sunday night by a kind stranger who went home to Fort Worth, Texas, with the wrong bag and Gracie inside to boot.

The last time Levy's wife, Kelly, saw Gracie was before she took her husband to the airport. The 24-year-old went back to her house in Palm Beach Gardens late Friday to find the bottom step, where Gracie would usually be waiting, empty.

She tore the house apart looking for the cat, who had been spayed just days before. She and her dad took out bathroom tiles and part of a cabinet to check a crawl space and papered the neighborhood with "lost cat" signs.

Then she got a phone call.

"Hi, you're not going to believe this, but I am calling from Fort Worth, Texas, and I accidentally picked up your husband's luggage. And when I opened the luggage, a cat jumped out," Kelly Levy quoted the caller saying."

sad.

TMZ has learned that 2006 Academy Award nominee Heath Ledger has died in NY.

He was found dead in his bed in one of his residences in Soho by his housekeeper at 3:35 PM ET today. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they believe it was not a crime, adding that prescription pills were found near his body.

According to NYPD a masseuse arrived at Ledger's apartment and was let in by a housekeeper. When Ledger didn't answer his bedroom door, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened it and found him unconscious. They attempted to wake him; when they couldn't, they called 911.

We're told when paramedics responded, the actor was in full cardiac arrest. They attempted to perform CPR on him, but were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 28-year-old actor has a two year old daughter with former fiancee Michelle Williams -- they separated in September, 2007. He plays The Joker in the upcoming Batman film, "The Dark Knight" and is perhaps best known for his groundbreaking role as Ennis in "Brokeback Mountain."

wrong.

i had to blog about this.....

Saturday Brandon and I were driving to the airport and in front of a car wash was a drive through for cigs. WHAT?!! i seriously thought this was the craziest thing i have ever seen. i mean, sure people smoke but a drive through for cigarettes?? wow. i think I've seen it all.

sad.

weekend news:

we filmed all day on Friday. fun!!!!!
had a baby shower for a girl i work with!

sushi
Brandon is in Arizona for EIGHT days. :(
Saturday was rough.
cried, watched sad movies and cried more. Angelique and I went to a party and then to CLEAR in Studio City. Love her.
Jered came over around 1:30 and spent the night.
made breakfast on Sunday. watched the Cults and Cowboys loose. :( (wasn't the same without Brandon.) the football party missed you baby.
dinner at moms. mmmmmmmm.
first night alone. EEEK!
cried some more and finally fell asleep.
The longest Brandon and I have been apart in the past FIVE years was when i went out of town for two days. He hates that nothing is familiar and i hate that he is not here. everything is familiar to me but it's not the same without him. :( I have a whole new respect and sorrow for families who are torn apart for War. i couldn't imagine saying bye and possibly never seeing him again. ugh.......
(i am in major sap mode right now....forgive me.)

today is one day closer to seeing my love! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

sniff sniff

DALLAS had a heart braking loss yesterday. the season is over for them. tears. i was so bummed and really thought that Dallas was going to kill NY. I mean....How is it possible that the Cults and Cowboys both got taken out of the playoffs in the same day? They are two of the BEST teams! :( i also think it's bullsh**t when they try and blame Romo for going to Mexico! are you kidding?! do you honestly have nothing better to say or know nothing about football?!! ugh!

(sorry, i'm a little sensitive right now....)

i guess it's time to start cheering on the Patriots!!
