a lot can happen...
Moving to Italy update...
We sold Brandon's car 2 weeks ago.
We sold my car last night.
My parents found a couple to rent out our condo for 2 years last night!
We are dying. We are so excited to move on with this insane adventure but it's also so crazy to think someone else will be calling our house their home. It was our home for so long. We are so happy they love it and will be able to make the best memories in it.
This is happening.

Brandon and I are car less. <--I can't comprehend it.

We can't wait to see you and live with you and eat your delicious food and speak to you in that beautiful language.

Surprised!!!
ciao ciao ciao!
Words cannot describe what a great weekend we had!
Friday night we had "plans" to have dinner with my bestie. She was treating us to dinner...or so we thought...
We walked in to Gyu Kaku (Brandon's favorite) and there was a table of our closest friends with green, white and red balloons! It was such an amazing surprise to know they planned this without B and I having a clue. I was so overwhelmed with happiness and sadness. Happiness because we have the most supportive friends and sadness because we are really leaving the US. like really.
I love LOVE and our friends make us feel so special. It was nice having everyone together since life has been so hectic.
We are so thankful for the yummy dinner and drinks and can't express how loved we feel.

The kitties are getting used to their new living situation, B and I are back in to the workout circle, I had my first Umami burger [holycowabunga], we met up with a good friend for drinks, layered outfit and pile of bags at work.

Do you layer?
The weather is so moody in LA right now. It's [LA] freezing in the morning and in the 80's during the day and then it drops back down to the 40's at night. And I believe it's supposed to rain this weekend?! It's hard to dress for. I mean sure the people back east are annoyed with us west coasters for complaining that it's cold...I know it's not snowing here but in all fairness to us...it is cold for LA. I am all bundled up in the mornings and by lunch time I have stripped off my layers. When 5pm rolls around I am quickly adding them back on. Thank god for layering.
Here are some of my favorite layered looks found via weheartit & pinterest. I've literally been layering every day and currently have a mound of clothes by my desk...until 5 o clock. :)

Muffins at Calamigos!
Happy Tuesday Muffins!
Yesterday I gloated about how great the traffic was. Today...not so much. Why can't everyone just drive the speed limit and buy sunglasses since the sun seems to be the reason everyone drives 5 miles per hour?...Tangent over...
Ciao!
Sunday was such a perfect day! Hubs, my brother, his girlfriend and I went to Malibu Wines for some vino and the great outdoors! It was a perfect day to be outside. We drank wine, ate snacks and enjoyed the live music. I love Malibu Wines! If you are in the LA area and haven't been you should definitely go. It's beautiful!
Malibu Wines happens to be near my favorite place in the world (aside from Disneyland), Calmigos Ranch. It's so nice to be able to go back to the place where we got married. [[side note: pretty sure I should be the spokesperson for Calamigos. I mean...I can't say enough about the ranch. We were just there in September. Call me CR, call me.]] Calamigos is so dreamy and I am so in love with it all! We walked around the ranch, stopped off at our venue for some pics and had dinner at Malibu Cafe. Another must go to if you are in LA. Blicious! :)

MONholiDAY
Happy Monday ya'll!
This weekend was so nice! Not only did us LA peeps have amazing weather but Hubs and I did so much and were able to relax a bit...
First things first...We SOLD one of our cars! (my husbands car)!!!! This is all really happening! Everything is coming together and the car situation worked out perfectly. thank.the.lord. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Saturday was my besties birthday and I treated her to a spa day. We had the best time catching up and playing in the sauna, jacuzzi, salt room, jade room, ice room and lounge room. We got massages and had the best relaxation day. le sighhh. I love my joon!!! Happy Birthday Maryam!
Saturday night husband made dinner reservations for us and we had a much needed date night. It was so nice to relax and laugh without thinking about all the crazy stuff going on. US time is what we needed.

Happy MLK day! although I am at work, the one perk to working when the rest of the world isn't...it only takes 20 minutes to get to work! Holler.

We have a bday party tonight, my besties bday tomorrow and wine tasting on Sunday. I'm so looking forward to this weekend!

cold beer on a Friday night...
Salve!
We went our for a friends birthday on Friday night and had so much fun! It was a night we needed. Our lives have been anything but relaxing. We are constantly being updated with another hurdle to jump to make our move and we are also in the process of selling our cars/ beds/ tv's, packing and living at my parents all at the same time. We are trying to stay focused. [trying] Eye on the prize babe. We are so close I can smell the Italian air. Bring us great news week, bring it!
We went bowling, sang karaoke and drank all night. all.night. Thank god husband was the responsible dd. I on the other hand, was not. at all. I sang like I was Mariah Carey. serious. Hand up and all! I drank like I was at Oktoberfest and I don't remember the long drive home. SUCCESS! :)
Sometimes...all a long week needs is good people and booze to make it all better!

The Briefcase
Happy Friday!
I work in handbags and saw this email from Refinery29 and had to share. There are so many different styles of handbags and I've literally been every type of "handbag holder" below. I would say for the most part I am The Briefcase and Arm-Crook hook wearer. But on the days when I bring in my laptop and my lunch and a bag of bills... I am 100% The Schlepper. :) I have to say I don't know any "I've got a bag bitch" wearers. do you? I am mostly in to wearing satchels, bowlers and messengers. An oversized clutch is a must have also. The occasional tote and crossbody come out of my closet every once in a while but not for every day use. I am Brandi and I am a bag lover. :)

the best days of our lives
When things are stressful/ hard/ overwhelming/ complicated/ scary and simply nutso, i drift off to this day. The best.day.of.my.life.
These little moments make me smile so big and they take me back to the most magical day of my life.
Here's what made me smile today. :)

So now that my mood is m u c h better...it just occurred to me that I have not done a post on our wedding details. I had this whole plan to share all and life got in the way. But I think I'm ready to share and let you in on OUR day. From the music to the flowers to the shoes to the dances to the dresses to the cake...shame on my blogging skills. This will happen.
