have you 818er's heard that they are running out of phone numbers and might change some numbers to have the area code of 747?? what? 747 sounds like it's in the middle of Montana or something...hmm. everyone knows that the "818" is part of the valley and now it's just going to sound cheesy. "I live out in the 747" doesnt have a nice ring as living in the 818! ok, ok so I can really care less as long as it doesnt affect my number.
"A second area code district would be carved out of the southwestern section of the Valley, roughly from Van Nuys and Sherman Oaks west to Westlake Village. Officials haven't determined whether this area would stick with the 818 or get the 747."
