The poor Valley is all over the news right now.......yesterday I was driving from downtown to the Ventura hospital and from Desoto to Shoop the traffic was awful. There were cops at every exit not allowing anyone to get off. I found out this morning that there was a kidnapping at Pierce. Full story here.
We then woke up to sad news about a guy who had killed his family and shot two SWAT officers, killing one. I just can't believe how sick someone can be. This happened at a house on Vanowen and Winnetka so the whole area was blocked off. On my way to work I saw about 20-30 SWAT trucks flying by trying to get to the scene. so sad. 5 Dead, Including 1 SWAT Officer, In Standoff
