handjob in cosmo

I cam across this article and had to share. i am a nail freak (as mentioned a hundred times before) and i NEED to have painted nails at all times. if there is a tiny chip it weirds me out. here are some good tips to keeping your nails pretty:
Aside from gazing adoringly at my life-size poster of Luke Perry and eating a whole bag of M&Ms, my pick-me-up of choice is having my nails manicured. There's nothing better than watching your fingers fly across the keyboard, clad in rouge noir polish, when you're under deadline. Even if you can't always be polished to perfection, your nails can.

If you don't have time to make it to the salon, follow these tips from Paula Shone-Adams from Hawley International.

• When filing the natural nail, ensure you file from corner to centre, as this will help prevent the nail splitting.
• After shaping, hold the file at a right angle to the end of the nail and file down. This will seal the end of the nail plate.
• Never cut the cuticle; this is living tissue. If you do feel the need to cut your cuticles, it is best to consult a professional nail technician.
• Avoid getting colour over your fingers when removing polish by not rubbing your nail. Place a sufficient amount of polish remover on a cotton pad. Place on the nail plate and hold it for approx 30 seconds, then wiggle it from side to side a few times and wipe off. Repeat this until polish is removed. Use a clean cotton pad for a final wipe of all nails; especially when removing red or dark polish.
• When applying polish, try to use three to four strokes at most. Constantly applying polish causes streaking.
• Treat yourself to a professional manicure every few months. You can never beat a professional's touch.

confession-i do gaze at my nails when i type. EEEEEE, i can't help it.
